The Welsh Politician of the Year Awards 2008
The Welsh Politician of the Year awards are to recognise the contribution of MPs, MEPs, AMs, local politicians and activists over the past 12 months - 2007 - 2008. Contribution is seen as a composite attribute and may comprise recognition for particular initiatives, committee work, persistent scrutiny, articulation of a constituency or local matter or an amalgam of all these activities.
There will be seven awards, four named categories for MPs, MEPs and AMs, an award for County Councillors, an award recognising lifetime achievement in Welsh Politics and an overall ‘Welsh Politician of the Year’ award.

The Awards will be made at a Gala Dinner, Cardiff City Hall, Tuesday 9th December
